ProductXchange Plugin

From the Autodesk App Store...

This Autodesk® Revit® plugin allows users who have subscriptions to coBuilder's ProductXchange system to work with their data from ProductXchange in Revit. The plugin allows the addition of product information (based on the available information in ProductXchange) to a Revit model, as well as its subsequent storage and maintenance as a part of the Revit model.

Users need to have a Revit model which corresponds to a workplace in their ProductXchange account in order to attach products to their corresponding elements.

The advantage of using the application is the consistency between your Revit models and the product information in ProductXchange which allows you to gain the maximum value out of managing this information in a single place and in a more robust and atomic way.

MEP Space Namer Add-in

From the Autodesk App Store…

MEP Space Namer is a utility that allows the user to automatically change the space name, numbers, or both to their counterpart in the linked architectural model. The utility includes 5 options to allow the user to specifically pinpoint the areas and parameters that they wish to change.

Options included in latest release:
  • Select project Phase
  • Select project Level
  • Change Space Name
  • Change Space Number
  • Allow duplicates

One of the issues with the current space naming utility available is that it automatically adds a number to the end of space names and numbers if another instance of that number is already present in another space name or number within in the model. Whereas it is sometimes beneficial to add the number to these duplicate rooms, this can also cause additional work to be required when the user wishes to allow room name and numbers to be duplicates. This utility provides a solution to that problem by making both options available.

Further, this utility also allows the user to specify which Phase and Level of the model they wish to update. This comes into play in the instance when multiple arch models are linked into the same MEP model. The BIM manager can specify a phase for that arch file to be referenced and then the user can change ONLY the names and numbers of the spaces in that particular phase. This reduces the chances for error when prior phases have already been designed and formatted. Specifying the phase ensures that only the desired space name and numbers are updated.

Spare Amps Utility

From the Autodesk App Store…

Spare Amps Utility is an Autodesk® Revit® MEP addin that allows the user to change the load value of all spare circuits associated with an electrical panel, all at the same time. Choose which panel schedules you wish to update and change the spare amps rating to whatever numeric value you desire.

Spare Amps Utility gives the user control over their panel schedules which can take a needless amount of time to update all the spare circuit trip rating. This tool is particularly useful for large projects where the number of circuits associated with each panel can exceed 200. Easily add all the panel schedules that you wish to update to the selected panels box and then one click will change the spares circuits rating all at once.

This utility allows the user to update the schedule on the fly while keeping the Spare Amps Utility dialog open. This increases the speed at which changes can be made and allows the user to most effectively get work done.

NuPAutoNum Add-in

From the Autodesk App Store…

In Autodesk® Revit®, numbering is by default realized through increments. Consequently, numbering becomes inconsistent after elements are deleted or added. When you want to insert elements, numbering always needs to be corrected by hand.

NuPAutoNum for Autodesk Revit enables automatic numbering of Revit elements. By pre-filtering, you may define which category or family type the Revit element to be numbered is supposed to be assigned to. You can further limit the preselection by predefined parameter values. Additionally, you can choose from several ways of numbering (figures, letters, as well as with prefix or suffix). It is moreover possible to analyze an existing numbering to check, for instance, whether it is gapless.

Besides this app, we also offer other interesting tools to increase your productivity with Autodesk Revit and Autodesk® Vault®. The following tools are available in the store:

Autodesk Revit
NuPDoorWin – Creating practical door and window lists with linked parameters from Autodesk Revit and direct connection to Excel and the SQL Server.

Autodesk Vault
NuPiFolder – Create local folder structures on several levels
NuPFileBrowser – Display local folders directly in the Vault-Explorer

BIMWERX Delta Tools – Compare Iterations of Models

From the Autodesk App Store…

BIMWERX Delta Tools for Autodesk® Revit® is an advanced Revit project comparison utility. With this tool, the user specifies 2 versions of the same project, the program then analyses user-specified changes between the two models, comparing model elements (currently Walls, Floors, Structural Columns, Columns and Structural Framing) and displaying them in a color-coded 3D view, together with a dynamic element “finder” floating dialog.

There has never been an easier and more effective change management tool for Revit. You also have the option to save the analyzed data, and to share with other users who can then leverage off of the recorded changes to dynamically focus on elements in the model(s) that have been added, removed or modified.

The unlicensed version will consider 20 elements per category.
