Release Notes

Version 1.2.1, April 20, 2017
  • Added support for Revit 2018.
  • Fixed export of equipment to one-line diagram that is not connected to a circuit.
  • Fixed error setting room in circuit descriptions in projects with multiple phases.
  • Added new "WireCallout_Compact" shared parameters that do not have spaces in the wire callouts. The original wire callouts included spaces and wrap across multiple lines, but are long. The new wire callouts do not include spaces and are shorter, but do not wrap.

Version 1.2.0, March 23, 2017

Calculations

Branch Circuit Voltage Drop: The voltage drop on each branch circuit is now calculated. The voltage drop is calculated by putting the whole load at the average distance from the panel of all the devices on the circuit. The distance can be overriden on a per-circuit basis to give you control over the calculation when the default value does not match the actual installation.

Improved Length Calculations: Length calculations for feeders and branch circuits have been improved to give you greater control over what distance is measured. The length can be based upon a straight-line distance between items or based upon an orthogonal distance. The calculation method can be overriden at multiple different levels to give you control over how each length is calculated.

Motor Breaker and Conductor Sizing: Motor and motor-compressor loads can have their breakers and conductors sized correctly based upon NEC 430 and NEC 440. The values necessary for these calculations are set in the family using the new Family Edit command.

Motor Contributions to Fault: Fault calculations include contributions from motors in the project. Connectors that have the built-in Load Sub-Classification Motor toggle turned on will be counted as motors for the purposes of this calculation.

One-Line Diagrams

Branch Circuit Equipment: Branch circuit equipment can be displayed on the one-line diagram. The option to export equipment can be set for an entire family or for a specific family instance.

Improved Feeder IDs: Feeder IDs have been improved to allow for consistent naming across projects. More information about the feeder IDs is available in this support article.

Family Editing

Improved Circuit Descriptions: The built-in Revit circuit description functionality was replaced with an improved system. The circuit description can be set in the family, family type, and family instance. For each specific circuit, you can add additional text to the description pulled from the attached families, or completely override the description when necessary.

Family Editor: Families can have electrical information added to them that is for either the entire family or specific to the family type. The Family Edit command is used to assign a Device Type to the family which then controls the type of information that is stored in the family.

Family Instance Editor: Family instances in the model also can have electrical information added to them, based upon the Device Type of the family.

Other Changes

Two Feeders on Distribution Equipment: Distribution equipment can have a second feeder connected to it and sized properly.

Improved Edit Circuits Dialog Box: The dialog box for the Circuit Edit command has been reorganized and improved. A list of the circuits on the panel is displayed in the center of the dialog box. Information for the currently selected circuit is displayed in a separate grid. The new layout makes it easier to visualize what is connected to the panel and hides the settings for all the circuits except the currently selected one.

Import and Export Customization Settings: All the customization settings in a project can be exported to a separate file that can then be imported into other projects. These import and export commands allow you to manage your customization separately from your Revit template files.

More Shared Parameters: The shared parameters available on most everything has been expanded. In particular, circuits have a number of new shared parameters that can be used to display calculated fault and voltage drop values.

Version 1.1.1, July 19, 2016
  • Change how global project data is stored to work correctly with multiple users.
  • Fixed parameters on circuits to be filled in with data instead of some times being left blank.
  • Fixed error in labels when multiple homeruns come from a device.

Version 1.1.0, March 9, 2016
